One Question Can Change Everything

[ 1 min read ]

I want the best for my child. I want to him / her to be happy and enjoy life.

So far so good.

But, here is how it can go south.

I want my child to pick a “practical” career.

I want my child to graduate from college.

I want my child to have a prestigious job.

I want my child to have a safe job.

I want my child to have a well-paying job.

I want my child to be viewed as successful.

I want my child to have his/ her own family.

I want my child to have a cozy (hassle-free) life.

I want my child to believe in God (not any God, of course).

Yes, but why the hell do I assume he / she wants the same things?
